The donated saplings were small enough for their root systems to be transplanted to grow properly on planting. The saplings were native species to Assam, were natural, healthy and not damaged. Once the sapling donation had been received by Assam Climate Change Management Society, all the saplings were then distributed among citizens and various institutions free of charge.
