The longest wedding dress train is 8,095.40 m (26,559 ft 8 in) and was achieved by Dynamic Projects (France) in Caudry, France, on 9 December 2017.

The Guinness World Records title was attempted as part of Telethon 2017. Having previously achieved this GWR title in 2006, the town of Caudry - which is world-famous for its production of lace - wanted to get the record back.

15 volunteers spent 2 months stitching all the pieces that were donated together into one single train. The train was then attached to the wedding dress using a decorative belt. The lace used to make the train was all donated.

The original train that had been manufactured for their previous successful attempt in 2006 formed part of the train this time around as well.
