On Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart dated 17 November 2018, Nashville duo Florida Georgia Line (Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley) spent their 106th cumulative week at No.1 when “Meant to Be”, their collaboration with pop vocalist Bebe Rexha, remained in pole position for a 50th consecutive week. The duo had previously topped the chart with “Cruise”/”Cruise Remix” (the latter featuring Nelly; 24 weeks in 2012–13), “Stay” (6 weeks in 2013–14), “This is How We Roll” (feat. Luke Bryan; 6 weeks in 2014), “Dirt” (2 weeks in 2014) and “H.O.L.Y.” (18 weeks in 2016).

As of 17 November 2018, George Strait (USA) had racked up 84 weeks at the summit with a Hot Country Songs chart record 44 No.1s (1982-2008).

“Meant to Be” spent more weeks at No.1 than any other entry on Hot Country Songs, ahead of Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” (34 weeks in 2017). It first went to No.1 on 16 December 2017. During its 50-week stay at the top, a total of 33 different tracks went to No.1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart – including “Meant” on 28 April 2018.

With “Meant to Be” alone, Bebe Rexha spent more cumulative weeks at No.1 than any other female in the history of the Hot Country Songs chart, ahead of Tammy Wynette (37 weeks from 20 No.1s in 1967–77).
