Most platforms for an action-RPG videogame

The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim (Bethesda Game Studios, 2011) is the fifth in an enduringly popular fantasy RPG series of videogames. Since its original release on 11 November 2011, it has been re-released for newer console generations, and as of 30 January 2025 was officially playable on the PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and the Nintendo Switch, as well as PC. That’s eight different gaming platforms in total!

This record does not count VR versions, as Skyrim on VR runs the game on one of the existing console builds of the game and is not distinct enough to count as a wholly 'different' version on a new platform.
